Fusion SimRacing Gets Powered By Amazon Web Services

In what is believed to potentially be one of the biggest sponsor signings within the simulator racing/eSports industry, Fusion SimRacing has secured Amazon Web Services as the team’s major sponsor for 2018. After months of negotiations AWS strongly believe that FSR is the team they need to be associated with, a great fit for their business. With the new sponsorship on board, the team has a update in name and will now be known as Fusion SimRacing - Powered by AWS.

So, who is Amazon Web Services you might ask? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a comprehensive, evolving cloud computing platform provided by Amazon.com. Web services are sometimes called cloud services or remote computing services. Some of the world’s biggest brands and companies use AWS for their day to day business and activities. The likes of NASA, BMW, Lamborghini, Adobe, Dow Jones, General Electric, Samsung, Netflix and even iRacing to name a few. AWS is the world leader in cloud computing - AWS public cloud is twice as big as Microsoft, Google and IBM combined - and only growing their business to new and exciting ventures, like their new game development platform.

AWS are currently going through a new branding/logo phase, driving new business expansions, new development teams and new items on the agenda. Through AWS's new gaming initiative, Fusion SimRacing is the first entertainment based sponsorship deal for AWS. We will be part of their development program, working alongside AWS to further help, assist and develop the brand within the gaming/eSports arena, a very exciting opportunity for the team. All the Fusion SimRacing team members are extremely proud of the achievements throughout 2016 & 2017 - all the hard work, persistence, development, driver expansion and determination has certainly paid off. For us, to have a company as big as Amazon.com and Amazon Web Services even consider beginning talks with us was a massive coup and one that we don't take lightly.

We look forward to the year ahead, and working with and alongside AWS with some exciting projects for us to dig our teeth into. The team has some more great news coming in the next couple of weeks, including driver signings and new team paints/liveries, so be sure to keep an eye out for those announcements. As the 2018 year starts, the team will be doing our absolute best for our new and continuing sponsors.
