FSR 1-2-3

Race Wrap: FSR takes 1-2-3
Round 4 of the Aussie Mixed & Fixed Iracing League and Fusion SimRacing had big numbers across two splits at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
8 FSR drivers took to the undulating track in the fixed setup GTE field, 6 in top split and 2 in split two. For our top split it was a mix of talent through the field with Craig Edwards claiming pole and leading the charge into turn 1. Craig would never look back and opened up a margin to the competition, eventually taking the win with a fairly straight forward race.

The battles through out the field were fierce, Nathan Huppatz in a strategic fight with Trent Thomas, Rodd Rizzo of Trick Esports and Leigh Van Den Berghe of Mach-1 Esports all using different strategies to try and come out on top. Nathan sticking to the tried and tested ways and coming out on top in that battle to claim second position.
Josh Burdon starting from P27 finished just outside the top 10 in P13, Warren Pickering started p17 and had a damage from early on in the race, but managed P21, Scott Stephens poorly qualifed in P40 and finished in P25,Brett Hender had a bender finished P38 and Matthew Barron in his first drive with a bit of a come back to racing finished in split one in P42.

Our Development Program Drivers also took to the grid in split two. Lockhart Brownlie and Mike Gee both having really solid races. Lockie with another excellent drive starting 19th, made his way through the field and and was closing the gap to to P2 only to have time run out and finished up 3rd outright and P2 in class. Mike had a difficult race, sustaining damage early on, he pushed though and to finish out his race in P24.

Rounding out the night, it was a 1-2 in split 1 and a 3rd in split 2. The mind set now switches to the next round as the team heads to
Watkins Glen International. With a sprint round on the cards, we look to push for more podiums and good results.
